Developing adaptation and resilience body of knowledge to be applied to disaster mitigation and engineering development to achieve a sustainable and disaster resilient built environment through research, design and product development.

Main Clusters Research

	1. Disaster Resilience Field of study focusing on the developing strategies, planning and implementation of mitigation and disaster management.
	2. Socio-Ecological Resilience Field of study focusing on the social and ecological changes and transformation including economics, law, politic, culture and humanities to develop disaster resilient community. The intentional is not only prepared to help communities to prevent or minimize the loss or damage to life, property and the environment, but they also have the ability to quickly return citizens to work, reopen businesses, and restore other essential services needed for a full and timely economic recovery.
	3. Built Environmental Design Resilience Field of study focusing on developing disaster resilient built environmental planning and design. The intentional is design of buildings, landscapes, cities and regions Including technological systems, environmental engineering and infrastructure in order to respond to natural and manmade disasters and disturbances.
	4. Ecotourism Resilience Field of study focusing on developing tourism that creates a variety of quality tourism products that are environmentally / ecologically sustainable, economically viable and socially and psychologically acceptable The result of which reflects: an integrated and holistic approach to product development, capacity building in host communities, sense and uniqueness of place and commitment to the greening of the resilient tourism industry.
